What are CryptoLocs?
The Crypto Locs are a collection of 187 unique digital art pieces depicting gang culture personalities from the American west coast gang era of the 80’s and 90’s. The characters are contained in 500 by 500 pixel JPEGs that are minted onto the ethereum blockchain as non-fungible tokens (NFT’s). The term “Loc” originates from the Crips but is used loosely here amongst the Crypto Locs 187 gang members.
Each Crypto Loc features its own personality, items, rank, style and click affiliation. Each click is designated by a different gang color that represents their affiliation within the overall gang, i.e., within the Crypto Locs gang, there are subsets of different clicks each with their own color. However, all 187 Locs fall under the same overall gang umbrella called the “Crypto Locs 187 Gang”.

About Us:
Our team consists of my loving wife and I. We are both equally into crypto as a whole but even more so into NFT’s because it joins our skills (tech and design) and we bond together making these. I have a programming background and she has amazing art skills. We also both grew up in southern California during the 80’s and 90’s and we draw our inspiration when creating the CryptoLocs characters from our experiences in the west coast gang culture we grew up around. We have a lot of fun creating these memorable hood characters. And We look forward to dishing out more projects in the future.
